OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF THE HEAT PUMP
The heat pump takes advantage of the compression and expansion cycle of the heat transfer fluid to obtain heat from the air surrounding the pool. The air is driven by the fan through the evaporator, where it gives up its heat to the heat transfer fluid (while the air cools). Next, the heat transfer fluid is transported by a compressor, which compresses and heats it, to the heat exchanger coils, where it transfers its heat to the pool water. The cooled liquid flows from the exchanger to the expansion valve, where its pressure is reduced and it is suddenly cooled. The liquid cooled in this way flows back to the evaporator, where it is heated by the flowing air. The entire process runs smoothly and is monitored by pressure and temperature sensors. By selecting the heat pump mode, the direction of circulation can be reversed and, on the contrary, the pool water can be cooled.
